Apple Releases Retina Display MacBook Pro

Apple Releases Retina Display MacBook Pro

During the 2012 World Wide Developer Conference keynote, Apple made several announcements. One of the highlights of the presentation was the introduction of a MacBook Pro configured with a retina-display, similar to the iPhone and iPad.

We wanted this MacBook Pro to have a screen as vivid as your imagination. A screen where everything you see is remarkably vibrant, detailed, and sharp. What we created was the world’s highest-resolution notebook display — and our most jaw-dropping Retina display yet.

This “next-generation” MacBook was mainly geared towards professional users. The “performance” page on the MacBook Pro site is dedicated to how this computer is for them. Even Final Cut Pro X is featured on the site showing that you can edit uncompressed video and view full 1080p video in the Viewer.

It was rumored that Apple was finally going to release a (major) update to the Mac Pro. While the Mac Pro did receive a quiet, minor update, it seems like Apple is making this MacBook Pro the “new Mac Pro”.

So with a retina display, all-flash storage, USB3 and HDMI ports, and more, the price of this MacBook Pro is $2,199 USD.

What do you think of the “next-generation” MacBook Pro? Will you be buying it? Leave your response in the comments section below.
